Frequently asked questions

Does my insurance cover Acupuncture?

It most likely does!! In Oregon, most plans cover Acupuncture! And the plans are usually pretty good with low copays and without the need to first reach a deductible.

To be certain, email me a picture of the front and back of your insurance card to Dean@mcnashclinic.com and I will have my billing team check for you. Alternatively, you can schedule an appointment for three business days out (so I have time to check before your appt.) and upload your insurance card when filling out the brief intake (you don’t even have to finish the intake -- just upload the insurance card and once we confirm your benefits you can finish it)

Insurance accepted

Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Providence, United Health, VA, Aetna, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Personal Injury, Workers Comp. I Can provide a superbill for cash and out of network patients.

Do I have to lift weights?

I highly recommend it, whether with me or anywhere else that you desire. Happy to give recommendations depending on where you live or what you are wanting from your fitness journey.

That said, acupuncture and massage is a wonderful combination for someone who is in pain, stressed out, already lifting weights, and/or who enjoys receiving healing touch.

I derive great joy from helping people relax, recover, and reduce pain with these modalities.

Why do I include weight training in my offerings?

Muscle tissue is highly adaptable and plays a huge role in our overall health. Muscle tissue is what allows us to ambulate our surroundings and impact the world.

Strong, healthy muscles make us more capable in our everyday lives, while also bolstering our confidence and abilities. Training our muscular system also benefits the skeleton, metabolism, internal chemistry, and even the brain. By relieving stress from ligaments and supporting the entire skeletal system, healthy muscles keep you looking and feeling youthful.

Which modality should I pick and at which location?

You have insurance and want medical care - book an initial appointment for acupuncture

Don’t have insurance and want medical care - book initial appointment for acupuncture

Want half that amount of massage - book the one-hour massage

Want to build muscle, learn to lift weights, and feel better - book a Gym session at Loprinzis

Want to lift weights but don’t like crowds - book a lifting session at my Clinic Location

Still not sure - book anything and we can take it from there

Would rather ask first - email me at Dean@mcnashclinic.com
